The iPhone 16 series will be released next week . At the demo corner of Apple’s press conference, the US annualsmartphone editorial team got to touch the high-end iPhone 16 Pro. The most popular color at the venue was that one.
Everyone is aiming for Desert Titanium
I’ve been watching a lot of rumors about the iPhone 16 lately, so it feels a bit refreshing now that they’ve all been announced. It seems like most of the rumors have come true.
For the high-end iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, which uses titanium , the desert titanium color was flooding the demo participants. Everyone wants to take pictures of the latest model in desert titanium. It’s much more luxurious than the rumored brown. It’s beige, but it has a strong gold feel. This one color has such a sophisticated punch that it reminds you of the big changes in the iPhone 16 series.
Well, the desert titanium is great, but I also like the color of the regular model . I often hear people say, “I want the Pro model because of the specs, but the color is the regular model.” However, Apple seems to prefer a somewhat business-like appearance, as the Pro is for professionals. Some people even say that the Pro model is now a photography device .
However, let me say this for just a moment. The color of the original model is so cute! I think the vertically aligned rear camera design and the pop of color match well. After all, those bright colors are something I envy for those who have always used the Pro.
The control buttons are likely to have a major impact on future models.
The biggest change in the hardware is the camera control buttons. I’d like to try them out in person, rather than just in a hands-on demo. These specifications are a clear indication that smartphones nowadays have the same aspect as compact cameras.
There are already rumors of the iPhone 17 next year, with some saying it will no longer have physical buttons , but it remains to be seen how the hardware changes in the iPhone 16 will affect it…
I tried out the camera control buttons on the original model. The pressure-sensitive button for shooting has a difference between pressing lightly and firmly, and you can feel it clearly. For menus and zooming, swipe the button left and right. It ‘s just as easy to use as many people would imagine after listening to the explanation at the presentation . There were no surprises, in a good way.
A Pro-like size
The iPhone 16 Pro is 6.3 inches, while the Pro Max is 6.9 inches. They’re slightly larger than the previous models.
There are preferences for larger and smaller models, but I think the higher-end model (Pro model) should be larger. In fact, larger is better. This is because it is a device that will be used by people who edit and check their footage on the spot.
Thankfully, there’s no camera difference between the Pro and Pro Max this year, as both models offer the same optical zoom options.
I’m looking forward to Apple Intelligence
Since its announcement at WWDC, one thing I’ve been looking forward to is Apple’s AI feature, Apple Intelligence. We saw complex editing functions in the iPhone 16 demo, but it won’t be possible to use generated text or ChatGPT until next month .
In addition to camera control, I’m also looking forward to trying out the usability of Apple Intelligence and spatial video recording on the review device.
