New! vivo V50 Lite 5G: Brief specifications

Vivo unveiled the V50 Lite 4G on Monday, and now, just a few days later, it has announced the 5G version of the device.

The new model retains the basic specs, including a massive 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90 W fast charging, but it has an updated chipset with improved connectivity.

Instead of the Snapdragon 685 used in the 4G version, the V50 Lite 5G has the Dimensity 6300. It works in tandem with 8/12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, but there is no microSD slot.

The Dimensity 6300 not only provides 5G support, but also offers a more modern Bluetooth 5.4 (compared to Bluetooth 5.0 on the 4G model). The Wi-Fi version is not specified, but most likely it is Wi-Fi 5 (ac), since this is what is supported by this chipset.

The smartphone features a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080p+ resolution, and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. There is an optical fingerprint scanner under the screen, and a 32-megapixel front camera in the upper center.

The main camera has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor (1/2.0”), and unlike the 4G version, there is an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle module. Aura Light (ring flash) is located under these cameras.

The 6500 mAh battery, according to vivo, will retain at least 80% of its resource even after five years of use. A full charge is enough for 10.5 hours of gaming, and thanks to the power of 90 W, the device charges 50% in 23 minutes and 100% in less than 53 minutes. Compared to the V40 Lite 5G, the battery capacity has increased by 1000 mAh, and the charging power has doubled.

The smartphone received IP65 protection – it is completely protected from dust and withstands weak jets of water.

There is no headphone jack, but there are stereo speakers.
